Meet Jennifer

With over 20 years of experience in clinical social work, my work is rooted in a passion to help my clients reach greater levels of self understanding and awareness, manage complex relationships and find peace in our sometimes anxious world. Whether dealing with grief and loss, a life transition or discerning next steps in life, I offer a safe space to process your emotions and find ways to move forward in a meaningful way.

My therapeutic approach is evidence-based and solution focused, primarily integrating Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My clients often describe me as warm, compassionate and not afraid to bring humor into the therapy room.

Raised in Houston, I earned her Bachelor’s degree in sociology from Providence College and returned to Houston to pursue a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. My clinical training internship was completed at Baylor College of Medicine’s Psychiatry Clinic, where I focused on psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy modalities.

Prior to establishing my private practice, I worked at Ben Taub General Hospital as a pediatric and emergency center social worker and later at Texas Children’s Hospital, where I served as the Gastroenterology and Liver Center Social Worker. My experiences in the hospital setting exposed me to a multitude of human behavior challenges and honed my skills as a compassionate listener and clinician.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children (now in their teens and early adulthood) along with connecting with family and friends, reading a great novel, staying active, experimenting in the kitchen, and planning our next travel adventure.
